Azeri businessmen and experts informed the participants of the spring school about innovation within the country’s economy and shared their knowledge and experience with the German and Azeri master’s degree students.
Kanan Agayev, a representative of the BERC Group, held a guest lecture about the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises. In his presentation, he talked to the master’s degree students about development policies pertaining to national SME and explained their financing mechanisms. Moreover, the questions of the the master’s degree students were addressed during the event.
Note: The mutual project “EE-KEY-AZ Entrepreneurship Education: Key to the Creation of Jobs and Employment in Azerbaijan” of the University of Siegen and the UNEC was the winner of the competition of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 2016. The duration of the project four years. The project encompasses events and workshops both in Germany and Azerbaijan that are attended by professors, teachers, junior researchers and students alike. Summer and winter schools as well as numerous seminars take place in both countries. Moreover, an exchange for junior researchers and graduates of the University of Siegen takes place in Azerbaijan, while their Azeri colleagues do research in Germany. Within the project, students receive the opportunity to gain practical experience in various companies in Germany and Azerbaijan.
